Dil Me Baat Kya Hai | Xane

The idea of the chorus came to me intuitively while I was taking a ride in an autorickshaw in Kota. On my 20th birthday, in order to surprise my friends with a song, I composed this whole on a keyboard.

While composing, I had picturized a story for the song although you are free to have your own picturization.

" There is a newly wedded couple. This was an arranged one. And in that era, cell phones were not common so they were not accustomed to each other prior to the wedding. On a certain day, when the man returns from his job, he notices his wife, sitting in the balcony. She is probably busy admiring the sunset. But he is busy admiring her beauty.

As he tries to talk to her by calling her name, she doesn't reply. He tries again, no reply. He reaches her but she evades him. Is he shocked? No. Because it is the fifth day since the wedding day and she hasn't talked to him yet since. He is sure though that she is not dumb as he hears her humming songs now and then. He can't figure out the reason of her silence. Maybe she is hurt. Or is she shy? Or is there a secret she doesn't wish to share !? He couldn't know the reason behind her silence so he decides to ask her, but not in an ordinary way. This time, he picks out his favorite guitar and starts singing. "
